At 8,000 miles or 6 months

This is the first time you change your Jeep's engine oil and filter at Bill Marsh Chrysler. This is the most basic building block for Jeep service and it's arguably the single most important service need your Jeep SUV has. When you schedule your visit to our service center, this is also the time to have us rotate your tires. We can and should do the same thing with every oil change after that. We can also rotate your tires at any sign of irregular wear.

At 16,000 miles or 12 months

The first order of business, of course, is to change the engine oil and filter. As you did at 8,000 miles, have us rotate your tires to help them wear more evenly. If you use your Jeep in a lot of dusty or off-road conditions, have us inspect the engine's air cleaner filter and replace it if needed. We should also replace the air conditoning filter, inspect brake linings, the exhaust system and more. See us for additional details.

At 24,000 miles or 18 months

In addition to the standard oil and filter change, along with a full tire rotation, we should inspect your Jeep's CV joints and the exhaust system. Your Jeep probably goes through some tough stuff on the under-side if you do much off-roading. That's why these kinds of inspections help spot trouble down under early - so it can hopefully be fixed more easily and inexpensively.

At 32,000 miles or 24 months

Along with the customary oil and filter change and tire rotation, it's time to replace some things to keep your Jeep performing well for you. At 32,000 miles we usually need to replace the engine air cleaner filter, the spark plugs and the air conditioning filter. If your Jeep has four-wheel disc brakes, this is when we should adjust your parking brakes. We should also inspect brake linings, front suspension and more. Again, ask us for more details.

At 40,000 miles or 30 months

This is a more basic service interval where our main job will be an oil and filter change plus a rotation of your tires.

At 48,000 miles or 36 months

Like your checkpoints at 16,000 and 32,000 miles, this is another significant Jeep maintenance milestone. In addition to the usual oil and filter change and tire rotation, we should inspect your engine air cleaner filter and replace as needed if your Jeep often faces dusty, off-road conditions. This is also when we replace the air conditioning filter and inspect things like brake linings and CV joints. We can tell you more details in person.
